Kerry Oman is recognized as one of the most successful luxury real estate agents in Utah, not just for his impressive record of selling some of the state’s most prestigious properties, but for his personalized approach that integrates creative marketing, systematic precision, and cutting-edge technology. He is one of only a select number of agents who have sold multiple properties for over $10,000,000. His experience spans a broad range from selling townhomes to luxury estates, from ski properties in Sundance and Park City to second homes in golf course communities, and from charming older residences to large cattle ranches. His commitment to innovation, hard work, and a never-give-up attitude has consistently resulted in closing properties at all price ranges. Kerry is knowledgeable and experienced in selling along the Wasatch Front and in the greater Park City markets.

Selling luxury real estate demands a personal touch, honed from years of experience. Kerry understands that each property is unique, requiring a tailored approach to marketing and sales. His success is largely due to his ability to tell the story of a property and help buyers envision the lifestyle it offers. This talent, combined with his deep insights, extensive network, and negotiation skills, make him invaluable whether you are buying or selling.

Kerry also brings a personal passion and expertise to the sale of ranch properties. Growing up around cows and horses has given him a profound understanding of the nuances involved in owning livestock. He skillfully navigates the complexities of water rights, grazing permits, conservation easements, and hunting rights, making the sale of ranches one of his favorite experiences in the real estate profession.

Kerry is a native of the Springville and Mapleton, Utah communities. After graduating high school, he served a mission for the LDS Church in London, England. Upon returning home, and after a season of playing football at BYU and marrying his wife Dianne, Kerry decided to focus on academics, while also starting a career in real estate. Academics soon won out, as Kerry developed a love for history, particularly the history of the American West and American Indians. This love took him to graduate school at Brigham Young University and later Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he earned his PhD.

While at SMU, he served as a consultant for the Oneida Indians of New York and for two law firms in New York City and Washington, D.C., regarding litigation over Indian land claims issues.

In 2005, after teaching for two years at the University of Utah, Kerry decided to return to real estate. Kerry has since built a remarkable career, highlighted by forming lasting relationships

with his clients from around the globe. For a number of years, he ran his own company, and in 2013, he made the decision to join Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, where he has become one of the company’s top-producing agents.

Kerry is a devoted father of four and finds joy in every aspect of family life. He is an award-winning author, having published articles on early American exploration, the mountain men, and American Indian history. He also loves landscape and wild horse photography. In his spare time, he can often be found hiking around the mountains of Utah or traveling Europe with his camera.

Kerry Oman’s career is a testament to his dedication to excellence, his ability to connect with clients on a personal level, and his innovative approach to selling luxury real estate. Whether you are buying or selling, Kerry’s expertise and personalized service ensure a seamless and successful real estate experience.
